Causes Of Eczema

The risk and causes of eczema is commonly innate. Children whose parents are allergic, are at increased risk of developing eczema. Especially high risk exists if the parents themselves had eczema as children or later on in life. All other factors that contribute to the onset of eczema are much less important than heredity, genetics. Allergy means an excessive reaction from the immune system to any substance. It generally requires extremely small quantities of the substance, which are often foreign body proteins, to trigger an allergic reaction. A prerequisite for allergic diseases against a particular substance is to being subjected to it. This can lead to hypersensitivity (sensitization). When the body again is being exposed to the substance, the immune system reacts intensively. The reaction mediated by allergy antibodies. Allergies produce an excess of antibodies. In many cases, the condition for pathological reactions in the skin (hives, eczema), the stomach intestinal (vomiting, diarrhea, colic) or respiratory (allergic rhinitis, allergic asthma).

Hypersensitivity To Food

Hypersensitivity to food causes eczema. In many children the itching will be worse if they consume citrus fruits, tomatoes, strawberries, chocolate and kiwi. Tests on older children and adults can show that you are allergic to food or other substances in the environment, but usually the eczema is not affected much by the allergy.
